"Little Red Riding Hood"

Join us for a fun filled week of children's theatre!  This program enrolls approximately 60 students from around the area in a unique community event.  Two directors from Missoula roll into town with their truck packed with everything needed to put on a fully staged musical - from costumes to makeup to senery, all they need are the children!  Students entering 1st - 12th grade are invited to audition on Monday morning at 8:30 am.  Auditions are held in a group and are low stress.  Auditions will last approximately two hours, after which the students will receive their parts and rehearsal schedules.  While rehearsals are expected to run 8:30 - 10:30 and 11:00 - 1:00 pm, not all students are needed every day.  There are larger parts for older students, and opportunities to be student directors and run the lighting and sound system of the Tassel.  If you're child does need to stay all day, it's a good idea to pack a snack for them to eat during that half hour break.  Please have your child wear closed toed shoes (tennis shoes) while at rehearsals.

We are partnering with the YMCA of the Prairie during this week to have a full day of day camp.  For more information, contact the YMCA of the Prairie at 308-995-4050.  This is a great way for students who have parents that work during the day to still be involved.  Please note, the Y camp will begin at 8:00 am even though rehearsals begin at 8:30 am to allow for transportation time.

Performances on Saturday will be at 3:00 & 5:30 PM.  Each performance lasts an hour.  Plan on your student being here at 10:30 am on Saturday to have a dress rehearsal and please send a packed lunch with them on this day.  There will not be time for them to run home to eat lunch.  More information about show day will be handed out at the auditions and throughout the week.

While there is no cost to be involved in Missoula, there is a cost for the YMCA day camp and there will be a charge for tickets to attend the performance.  Tickets are $5/per person to attend each performance.  It is our ticket policy that everyone who attends purchases a ticket, so even your two year old must have a ticke to attend.
